About us

COVID and the aftermath of COVID has exacerbated the challenges of families living in disadvantage.  Adults, seniors, children and young people living in poverty have been negatively affected by not having access to safe, nutritious food.  Beyond COVID, economic and social pressures, when combined, create greater challenges to their wellbeing and mental health.  Add to that the rapid cost of living increases with major increases in food, transport and housing costs that is particularly impacting low-income families.

The purpose of our organization is to help members in the community have access to safe and nutritious food, access to resources and support and to become part of a community, where members support each other.

The focus is on individuals, families and seniors who are living in poverty and do not have access to safe, nutritious food, regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, religion or sexual identity.

Our Mission

To create a self-sufficient organization where members will have access to groceries they are unable to obtain otherwise; where there will be no judgement for individual member’s circumstances, but where members will only find caring and support.

To provide access to resources they wouldn't have otherwise, be given the opportunity and ability to develop new, real relationships and create a safe, supportive network for all.

Where members who desire to find their purpose, to find their happiness, but are feeling lost and overwhelmed, where everything seems so hopeless, can truly become part of a community and gain a purpose.
